Paul is
an industry veteran with over 18 years of leadership
experience in optics and semiconductors. He joins Santur from Coherent,
where he most recently served as the EVP of Global
Business Operations. Prior to that, Paul held several
executive management and technology leadership positions
at KLA-Tencor and Applied
Materials. In addition, he advises entrepreneurs
through the Global Social Benefit Incubator at Santa
Clara University, and through the Digital Visions Program
at Stanford University. Paul holds an undergraduate
degree from the University of California, Berkeley
in materials science and engineering, and he obtained
both his masters and doctorate degrees in materials
science and engineering from Stanford University. |

| PIERRE
LAMOND (Sequoia Capital) |

 |
Pierre
Lamond focuses on components, software and systems
investments.
He is also working with T-networks. Pierre
has been the Chairman of Cypress Semiconductor
(CY), Microchip (MCHP), Combichem
(acquired by Dupont) and a Director of
VitalSigns Software (acquired by International
Network Services, LU), Convex Computer
(acquired by HP) and the MarchFirst
(MRCH) (formerly USWeb/CKS). Before joining
Sequoia Capital in 1981, Pierre was a
founder and technical director of National Semiconductor
and the general manager of Fairchild's
Integrated Circuit Division. He has also been the president
of Advent, a consumer electronics company
and Coherent, a manufacturer of lasers.
Pierre is a past president of the Western Association
of Venture Capitalists. |

CALHOUN (Menlo Ventures) |

 |
Hal joined
Menlo Ventures in 2000. Prior to Menlo
Ventures, he served as Senior Vice President of Product
Marketing for ONI Systems, a leading
optical networking equipment manufacturer. Previously,
he held various market development positions in the Optical
Networks division of Nortel Networks
and was Senior Manager of Broadband Transport Planning
at Fujitsu Network Communications. At
Menlo, Hal focuses on early-stage communications companies.
His recent investments and board seats include Movaz
Networks and Santur.
Hal is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology
(B.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering), where his
graduate work focused on photonic materials, devices and
systems. |

TOMASETTA (CEO, Vitesse Inc.) |

 |
Lou Tomasetta
is a co-founder of Vitesse and has been
President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director since
Vitesse’s inception in February 1987. From 1984
to 1987, he served as President of the integrated circuits
division of Vitesse Electronics Corporation.
Prior to that, Dr. Tomasetta was a director of the Advanced
Technology Implementation department at Rockwell
International Corporation. He has over 25 years
of experience in the management and development of GaAs
based businesses, products, and technology. Dr. Tomasetta
received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical
engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Tomasetta also serves as a director of a number of
private companies. |

| BARDIA
PEZESHKI (CTO, Santur Corporation) |

 |
Prior to
founding
Santur, Bardia managed the Technology
Development group at SDL INC. (now
part of JDS Uniphase). From 1996
to 2000, the group developed numerous diode-based
technologies for high power and telecom applications.
Before SDL, he managed an optoelectronics group at IBM
T.J.Watson Research Center, where his own
work centered on novel devices for WDM telecommunications.
Bardia has numerous publications and patents in the
field, including the first patent on micromechanically
tunable VCSELs, currently being commercialized by
a number of companies. Bardia obtained his Ph.D.
in electrical engineering from Stanford University
in 1991, with a graduate thesis on vertical cavity
modulators. |

SESSIONS (Thomas Weisel Venture Partners, L.P.) |

 |
Andy is
a General Partner of Thomas Weisel
Venture Partners.
He co-founded TWVP in 2000 and focuses on investments
in communications, storage and wireless companies.
Andy has 14 years of experience advising and investing
in technology companies, working extensively with infrastructure
and service companies in the communications, software
and Internet sectors. Andy has led the firm’s
investments in Application Security, Bay
Microsystems,
Control4, Santur
Corporation and TeleSym while at TWVP.
Prior to founding TWVP, Andy was a Partner focused
on building the venture capital activity and technology
investment banking practice at Thomas Weisel Partners
in San Francisco, which he joined in 1999. Prior
to TWP, he was a Senior Managing Director of Private
Equity at NationsBanc Montgomery
Securities. Before
NationsBanc, Andy was a General Partner with Technology
Crossover Ventures in Palo Alto, California. While
at TCV, he led investments in Real
Networks, Mpath (HearMe), Metapath
Software and One
Touch Systems.
Andy began his investment banking career at Goldman
Sachs & Co.
Andy holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and
an AB from Stanford University. He sits on the governing
board of Thomas Weisel Capital Management LLC, a
holding company that oversees all of Thomas Weisel
Partners’ interests in the private equity area.
Additionally, Andy is a member of the investment
committees of Thomas Weisel Global Growth Partners
(TWGGP), a fund of funds focused on venture capital
and growth private equity funds, and Thomas Weisel
Healthcare Venture Partners (TWHVP). His current
portfolio board seats include Application Security,
Control4, Santur Corporation and TeleSym (board observer).
