Santur closed its Series A round in early 2001 with Sequoia Capital and Menlo Ventures as primary investors. In June of 2002, Santur completed its second round of venture financing, which netted $23 million, with Thomas Weisel Venture Partners leading the round, and all previous venture capital investors, including Sequoia Capital and Menlo Ventures, as well as strategic investors, contributing.

Since its inception in 1976, Menlo Ventures has been helping visionary leaders turn technical innovations into world-class companies. Menlo has over $2.7 billion under management in nine venture capital funds, and currently focuses their investment capital in the Internet infrastructure and services, software, and communications sectors. The Menlo Ventures team is a group of investment professionals with hundreds of years of collective experience in technology, marketing, sales and general management. Their combined knowledge and expertise support emerging growth companies in achieving their maximum potential.

Menlo Ventures has invested in over 240 companies in the past 25 years. Many of these companies have become leaders in their respective markets. Some of the earlier portfolio companies Menlo has helped grow include UUNET Technologies, Xros, Cyras Systems, Hotmail Corporation, Infoseek Corporation and Clarify. Menlo Ventures is proud of their reputation as highly skilled and ethical investors who can help new companies define strategy, recruit the best management talent, forge industry partnerships and corporate alliances and attract investment capital.

Since 1972, Sequoia Capital has provided startup venture capital for very smart people who want to turn ideas into companies. As the "Entrepreneurs Behind the Entrepreneurs", Sequoia Capital's Partners have worked with innovators such as Sandy Lerner and Len Bozack of Cisco Systems, Jerry Yang and David Filo of Yahoo!, Gaurav Garg of Redback Networks, Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Google, Dan Warmenhoven of Network Appliance, T.J.
