These tunable laser modules are optimized for use in coherent systems for both transmit laser and local oscillator applications.

The NLW ITLA is a new generation of tunable laser for coherent applications. They have output power between 20 and 35 mW, typical line-widths of 250 kHz. low phase noise, excellent RIN and side mode suppression performance. These OIF MSA compliant tunable lasers are available in both “C” and “L” band with various tuning range options. Ideally suited for use in Coherent WDM systems, the Santur NLW ITLA provides the best combination of features available. Excellent performance characteristics, reliability, ease of manufacture, and economies of scale derived from Santur’s exclusive, proven design, differentiate this product from others in the industry. Orders for these lasers have increased dramatically in recent months as demand for 40G and 100G coherent systems increases throughout the network.
