ITLA
MSA-Compliant Integrated Tunable Laser Assembly
ITLA-30xx-C/ITLA-30xx-L are compact C- and L-band widely
tunable Integrated Transmission Laser Assemblies based on Santur’s
TLB-3K tunable laser butterflies. This assembly provides industry-leading
tunable laser performance with control hardware and firmware in the smallest
available MSA-compliant form factor.
Ideally suited for integration into a wide variety of DWDM systems, the Santur ITLA supports MSA compliant control and electrical interface. These units are customizable to meet diverse network needs.
In 2008, Santur introduced a series of Ultra high power ITLA. These fully tunable lasers can attain an output power of up to 45mW. The high RIN and OSNR of a DFB laser makes these lasers suitable for high end 40G applications at one end and WDM PON applications at the other end.
Santur also introduced very narrow line width ITLAs to support emerging
coherent detection applications for 40G and 100G. These lasers with linewidths
below 500Khz, compare favorably with external cavity lasers which are
traditionally used for these applications.
