Tunable Laser Modules

Santur supports tunable laser assemblies in OIF compliant modules and ITLA. These units are based Santur’s tunable laser components and contain all electronics needed to control/monitor the tunable lasers and can be controlled are monitored thru a standard OIF interface. The convinient electrical/firmware interface simplifies integration and is popular in line cards.

There are two types of OIF MSA compatible laser modules in volume production; the TL-2K Series modules and the ITLA-3K. The TL-2K Series module is based on TLB-2K tunable laser butterflies. This platform is in high volume production and is popular in line card applications. The ITLA based on the smaller TLB-3K butterfly offers a smaller foot print than the TL-2K Series module and can be used for large form factor 300 pin transponder.
